Downstairs was pine paneled with a built in bar. The original linoleum floor was preserved because there was a shuffleboard pattern set into it. The sticks and pucks were still there. The walls were painted two tones, light fixtures replaced, and all the wood cleaned and treated. In the laundry room and bathroom behind this area, the floor was painted with concrete paint for easy maintenance. Window treatments were mounted to the windows themselves because they opened inward.
